Gerry Afentakis is the Managing Director, Europe at Zodia Custody, bringing over 16 years of experience in the financial services sector to his role. Before joining Zodia Custody, he led the Asset and Wealth Management division for Europe at Matrixport, Asia’s leading diversified digital asset platform.

Afentakis’ journey in finance includes a pivotal role at EFA Group, a private credit asset manager, where he served as a Partner and Head of Strategic Development. During his time at EFA Group, he was instrumental in the firm’s exponential growth from a modest setup with a single office in Singapore, managing less than $100 million in assets and only a single fund product, to a global powerhouse boasting approximately multi billion AUM, 7 funds, and 5 international offices.

Fluent in English, French, German, Greek, and proficient in Mandarin, Afentakis’ language skills greatly enhance his ability to forge and maintain international partnerships. His market expertise and strategic perspective have been a key contributor to Zodia Custody’s swift expansion in a rapidly-evolving digital asset industry.
