Gaia Regis

Gaia holds degrees in statistics and economics, with a thesis on crypto volatility’s diminishing standard deviation. She was the youngest associate in a 1k-person VC fund and in Italy’s venture sector. Gaia specialized in finance and earned a second master’s from HEC Paris and École Polytechnique, focusing on blockchain. After co-leading a $3.5M pre-seed for a greentech blockchain startup she started researching restaking and institutional DeFi participation. She’s now the CEO and co-founder of Byzantine Finance, the first restaking aggregation layer creating institutional grade vaults across restaking protocols and chains.
She has been a speaker at the Staking Summit, Token2049 Singapore, Global Alts Miami, Digital Asset Summit, WOW Summit, Paris Blockchain Week and other large crypto events
